66 Percent of Israelis Reject Establishment of Palestine in the West Bank

As many as two-thirds of Israelis oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank. At least according to a recent poll published in the Maariv newspaper.

When asked whether they would support the establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank, 66 percent of respondents answered no. Only 11 percent of respondents who responded support it.

Similarly, according to survey results Maagar Mohot as reported by AFP on Friday (12/21/2012). The poll questioned 511 people between 19 and 20 December. This poll has a margin of error of 4.5 percent.

In the survey, 51 percent of respondents said it would support the construction of new Jewish settlements in sensitive areas of the West Bank named E1, which is located between East Jerusalem and Maaleh Adumim settlement.

Only 9 percent of respondents were against the construction of new settlements in the region. As many as 40 percent of respondents could not decide.
